Official Award Voting Procedure
VOTING:
Voting will be done by three different individuals, each month.
Voters will not collaborate on their choices and submit their choices directly to the
Commander in Chief or Director of Operations (DFO) upon completion.
The three people voting will be chosen as follows:
1. An Admiral
2. A Captain
3. A crewmember**
** The crewmember will be chosen by this process.
1. Each month a CO will send the DFO the name and email of two characters who have done exceedingly well.
2. The DFO will then review ALL of the names sent and choose the most qualified candidate to vote for that month.
The three people have to meet the following conditions in order to be eligible to vote:
1. They are not nominated for any awards for the month.
2. They agree to exercise no biaism towards their own ships.
3. They did not vote in the previous two months awards.
4. Their second character is not eligible for any awards. For example, if Admiral Krol is voting, his Captaincy position is not eligible for the genesis award.
5. Their second character is not also voting. For example, both Admiral Krol or Captain Ryan can vote, only one of them can vote (as they are the same person).
The three people will be chosen, at random, by the DFO and notified on the 7th of the month.
The compiled awards will be sent to each voter INDIVIDUALLY, so they are not aware of the other voters, on the 8th of the month.
Voters will turn their nominations in by the 11th of the month.
Once a voter is notified of his selection to vote, he is to respond to the DFO immediately via instant message or email. They will be expected to vote, unless a problem is presented to the attention of the DFO before the 9th of the month. If a problem is presented, the DFO will choose another person who meets the criteria to fill in.
The following is a template voters will use when voting for awards. The below criteria is what is looked for in nominations and should be included in all nominations if they expect to be fairly represented in voting.
